Ebook sale on Crow is underway!
As the title states - the Sale for Crow is now underway! The Ebook version on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Smashwords will be on sale for 99cents from now until December 31st, so if you've been curious about Crow, now is the perfect time to get your copy. Seriously, it's less than a small cup of coffee (at least where I live where a small simple cup of joe is almost two bucks - ouch! And I'm not even talking about Starbucks... I'm talking paper-cup from the deli coffee.)
As for me, I'm busy busy busy trying to get Shift ready. The revisions are going pretty well - as a matter of fact, after being away from it for a few months, re-reading it fresh I'm surprised at how well the story progressed and how much I actually like it. I truly think Shift is so much better than the first book, and I think you'll all enjoy it as well.
I'm hoping to have at least a mock up cover for it in the next few days, as well as a blurb, in preparation for setting up the pre-order on Amazon sometime next week. I feel like there is soooo much to do and time is flying by. I've definitely decided that next time around I need to give myself more wiggle room for getting things done, but because of all the delays I don't want to make you guys wait any longer.
Well, that's it for my update today. It is Thanksgiving, after all, and even though I don't have to cook the holiday feast, I do have a ton of things to get done. I hope, for those of you who celebrate, that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with family, friends, laughter and good food.
Until next time,

Giving Thanks
With Thanksgiving only a few days away, I've been thinking a great deal about all the things I am thankful for. After all the issues, heartbreak and delays of the past few months, it's a good exercise in humility and putting things in the right perspective. Some people post something they are thankful for each day of November on various social sites - I'm just going to do a single blog post, but this post is about a lot more than that. Lots of new and exciting things are going on for me right now, and this post will relay all of that in the process.
- First, I am thankful for my brilliant and amazing children.
- I'm thankful for having such an understanding and supportive husband.
- I'm thankful for my wonderful family.
- I'm thankful for the roof over my head and a job to pay my bills (because there are a lot of people out there right now who barely have either).
- I'm thankful that I can do what I love and write what I want.
- I'm thankful that I was able to write and publish my first book this year and I'm humbled, honored and thankful beyond belief for all the people who have bought it, read it and enjoyed it.
This last one still amazes me, and in an effort to show my appreciation, I've decided to have a sale on Crow. Starting on Thanksgiving and lasting until the end of the year (December 31st), I'll be dropping the price of the ebook version of Crow to 99cents. If you've been wanting to read it, this next month would be the perfect time to get your copy.
In slightly related news, I've finally set a publishing date for Shift - and yes it coincides with the end of the sale - December 31st. It means I have a ton of work to do during what is usually the craziest month for me with Christmas fast approaching. There will be more news soon regarding Shift, as I'm going to attempt to use Amazon's new pre-order system. I'll let you all know when the pre-order goes live, which will probably be sometime next week if I can get everything together.
In one other bit of news, I'm contemplating going exclusive with Amazon for the next book. I haven't had many sales through the other channels and I'm not sure if it's worth all the time and effort to format Shift for Barnes and Noble and Smashwords when 99% of my sales have come from Amazon. I'd like to hear your opinions on this before I make my decision. I can always opt out of KDP Select and upload it to the other channels in the future.
Do you want the option of getting it from B&N and all the places associated with Smashwords?
With that said, I have a ton of work to do to get these things ready, so I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Happy Reading!
